For those who remember, the Nokia Sleep Tracker was unveiled at the CES in Las Vegas in January 2018. This smart device is now available in Sverige to improve our nights.
The Nokia Sleep comes in the form of a fleece band to be positioned under the mattress, in order to measure the quality of the user’s sleep, via the cross-referencing of several data. The sensors take into account movements, snoring, breathing, heart rate, sleep interruptions, duration of each phase, cycles (deep, light and paradoxical), etc. Enough to be able to estimate the quality of sleep and thus optimize it if necessary, via the Nokia Health Mate application.
The Nokia Sleep is available in pre-orders in Sverige
For those who would doubt the usefulness of Nokia Sleep, a study by Dr. Chrisptopher Xinter of the Charlottesville clinic, specialized in neurology and sleep medicine, showed that Nokia Sleep users could increase their sleep time by 12 minutes per night, or about 73 hours of sleep over a full year, besides improving sleep quality.
In fact, Nokia, in collaboration with many sleep experts, has developed a coaching program called “Sleep Ritual”, which is available in the Nokia Health Mate application.
The Nokia Sleep goes beyond simple measurements or coaching, it can also modify your environment to optimize your sleep. Indeed, IFTTT integration allows you to create home automation scenarios such as turning off lights or controlling the thermostat at bedtime or when you get up. The application allows you to synchronize with a large number of smart devices that will act as you have programmed them, at each moment of your sleep, whether it is when you fall asleep or when you wake up. You will sleep in this way without concern.
The Nokia Sleep sensor is therefore made to improve your nights and is now available in pre-orders in Sverige since today, at a price of 99.95 euros. You can find it on the official Nokia website.
